When I got to Argentina the scoot was under a pile of dust. There have been 5 yrs since I last used it. I was concerned that the engine could have seized but fortunately that wasn’t the case.
The gas tank was left with gas and now it was all oxidized by the rotten gas.
So, I removed and clean up the tank by shaking a bicycle chain inside and pouring and changing boiling water.
When it was done, I pushed it to a gas station nearby, and poured fresh gas with two-stroke oil at 5%. Inflated the three 8” tires and choked the carb.
I kick started it once and it started its pop-pop- pop and was alive once again!
So next day early in the morning I left the City of Mendoza towards Villavicencio…
The beginning of the trip was riding thru Mendoza suburbs and after that the road goes straight north until here where I took this picture. The last part of the road to Villavicencio is twisty and the asphalt then gives its place to gravel and stones
